Since I was siding with the Railroad I'm not sure what else I can really do at this point, as I've completed a bunch of Institute missions.  I'm kind of at the point where I either side with the Institute or piss them off, so...I'm not sure what else to do.   icon_frown icon_mad

I completed the game on the BoS quest thread and it was a lot of fun. However, I've saved my save games so I could go back and do the Institute path. I'd be interested in hearing whether folks like that option. So go ahead, viva la Institute!

This game is actually inspiring me to think about going back to play New Vegas.  I never played Fallout 3 or NV, but from everything I heard New Vegas was really the superior game as far as choice and options.  I'm just not sure if making a step back to a 5 year old game after playing the sequel would be a good move...

Right, I had,(have) an Epiphany about the same thing. I never played 3, but I did purchase NV, but never gave it a serious go. But with all the negatives being posted about F4, and the ongoing comparison to how much better NV was for the Fallout fans.

I feel like I shouild put down F4. I had a look at the stills, and video's of NV,  it's aging just fine, from what I've seen.

Well, with a few different console commands I was able to resurrect Glory yesterday and get my missions back on track.  That allowed me to finish the game today helping the Railroad at the end.  I was still friendly with the Minutemen but had eliminated the Brotherhood of Steel and burned the Institute to the ground.   icon_twisted

I do wish they had delved even deeper into some of the themes that were present throughout the game, and given me more/better options for how to handle things, but I guess it wasn't bad overall.

Oh yeah, I ended at level 65 and something like 130 hours.  Cripes.

Holy smokes, that's completely different than the way I approached the end game. Guess I'll have to reload those saves I have and try a different ending... I'm not going to give up my power armor though, I'm in love with it eek

Yeah, I looked up an ending for the Brotherhood and was surprised to see
Spoiler for Hiden:
Liberty Prime
that I didn't even know existed, and another one where the Institute had a different way of taking down the big blimp.

You shouldn't have to give up your power armor, though, I used it through the whole game.  I think I had about 8 of them by the end of the game.  I even got a full X-01 from a building and fully upgraded it.  Unless you had some other special power armor?

Nope, no special armor, I just love my X-01 armor.

Article from Gaming Nexus, Bethesda details some of their Fallout 4 DLC plans and there will be a price increase

Quote
Let's start off with the bad news first. For another two weeks, the Fallout 4 Season Pass will stay at $29.99. After March 1st, it'll jump to $49.99. Yeah. it's rare you hear DLC prices increasing afterwards, but here's another case. At least we have a two week window to purchase the Season Pass at its initial price, but it's still disappointing to hear Bethesda is raising the price.

The reason for the price raise? Bethesda is planning about $60 or more worth of DLC coming this year. They sent out details on the first first items and what they call their largest land mass added to one of their games to date.

Automatron, coming next month for $9.99, has you hunting down robots in the Commonwealth and allowing you to use their parts to build your own robot companion. Mix and match items as well as outfit it with custom paint jobs and designate the voice you want it to use. New weapons will also be introduced with this DLC.

Wasteland Workshop will be available in April for $4.99 and will let you capture the wild life of the Commonwealth, both human and non-human. You'll be able to pit them with each other or settlers in battle and there will be new options for settlement upgrades.

The big one will be Far Harbor coming in May. This one will retail for $24.99 and it's being billed as Bethesda's largest DLC to date. Go to the island of Far Harbor in this DLC, off the coast of Main. You'll be on the hunt in a new Nick Valentine case that will take you to the land as you search for a young women and encounter a secret society of Synths. Of course, new items and weapons will be available with Far Harbor.

There three aren't all that will be available, but just the beginning. Bethesda has said there will be more than $60 worth of DLC coming in 2016, hence their justification for increasing the price of the Season Pass. Let's hope that the majority of the DLC will be worth the new price increase...

So if I haven't actually started Fall out 4 and I get the season pass, will these new areas and masses show up as quests like they did in FO3 or will some of it be late level stuff? Any deets?  I'm asking because if I haven't started yet, I may as well wait.

Wow, I was surprised to see this thread all the way back on page 6.  It seems like nobody has been playing the DLC?

Personally I was waiting until all of the DLC was out before going back, and as of next Tuesday the 30th I guess that's it.  A bit disappointing given the whole "raising price" shenanigans and that half the DLC has just seemed like mods, but I guess that's what we get with Season Passes these days.

Anyway, here's the Nuka World trailer as well as the full cartoon featuring Bottle & Cappy.  Hopefully this one is quite sizable and worth the wait.

I thought Far Harbor was pretty good, the rest of the released DLC was meh, probably because I kind of gave up on building/maintaining settlements.  Nuka World looks promising so I don't think I'll regret the Season Pass at the discount I got it at way back when.  I'm ready for the next FO, wish they had something set up with a fast turn around like FO3 and FO:NV.
