This is pretty much status quo at my house every night.  But you forgot the most important thing: the giant jumping frog that everyone has to lick first.

I feel like there is a grad thesis waiting to happen with this thing. People getting up at odd hours of the night to harvest onions? For no real purpose at all? Is there a way to "win" or "beat" someone else? Leaderboards? Can you at least fill up some bars?

I consider it a victory when I can actually log into the server. As much as I think it's charming and fun, the connectivity issues really are killing it for me. I can log in about 1 out of every 10 times I try (from iPhone).

I don't know if I'm ready to give up on the game entirely, but if they don't do another server upgrade soon I'll at least shelve it until I see it pop up on the 'update available' app store screen.  The earlier server upgrades had a very noticeable impact on stability, but it seems like they just can't stay a step ahead of demand.

I blame the Canadians.

Oh, speak of the devil, they've added a new loading screen and progress bar to the login.  Maybe this is--lol, never mind.  Got 'unable to connect' when I was at 6.5%.

Anyone pick up Godfinger, published by the same company, ngmoco?  It's another free to play that has a store to buy things if you wish.  Reminds me of Pocket God, but it gives you goals to do in the game.

I've tried it out, it's kind of amusing but somehow not quite as addictive as We Rule, even though it arguably has more "gameplay."

You should get a popup when you log into We Rule, but I doubt it's a necessary step.  Just download Touch Your Pets With Your Finger Yarr and launch it, and you should get the mojo next time you're in We Rule.

Now that the servers seem to be fine again, I'm sucked back in.

I seem to have found the answer to why wonderpug (and chandise and others)'s kingdoms always have the open shops bubble, but nothing inside is open. It's got something to do with the 30-order limit.

My understanding is that it's not YOU that hit the 30-order limit in that case (where you see them as Open and no stores are available), it's the store owner themselves. If you hit the order limit, any unused stores you have will become inaccessible.

No wonder it tends to happen to the bigger kingdoms (namely wonderpug and friends).

You go into the map screen, and scroll to wonderpug's kingdom. See that bubble saying there's shops open in wonderpug's kingdom? Well click into his kingdom, and I bet you there ain't no open shops there. That's because (apparently) wonderpug has reached the maximum of 30 orders that he made elsewhere. (So that's why he's so filthy rich... the bastid).

EDIT: That thing's everywhere now, too! At least he hasn't shown up in my kingdom yet...

Interesting. Ok, I'll give it a shot and hold off on imports for a couple days and see what happens. As of right now only my witch hut and downtown tavern are busy with orders.

Edit: huh, and as I wrote this (after accepting a handful of import deliveries) I just got notification for my first baby griffin export. You may be on to something.

I am having an issue where Raverna's on my friend list, but I can't see the town on my little map. I can visit the kingdom by going to Plus, clicking the name, and doing Visit Kingdom, but why won't it show up on the map?

I had that happen all the time, somehow it just self corrected after I tried a few more times.  No clue what was up with that.



P.S.  I am sooooooo jealous about wonderpugs' griffins!!!!

My biggest issue...remember to harvest my crops.  I wish the push thing worked for that...it only seems to work when people place orders.  With the new local push that Apple just announced, I bet they could design the game to keep that time locally and send the push out without need for servers.

Yeah, they had some issues again.  Everything should be up now.  I also fixed my issue with Raverna.  Also, whenever the servers go down like that, wonderpug's Now Open problem always seems to go away.

I've never had a crop notification work in this game yet.  You did remind me to harvest my onions, though.

Notifications are super flakey.  They've acknowledged it and said it will be fixed in the client update, coming "soon."  In the last few days I've started to get push notifications with sound, out of the blue.  But only for my shops.  Kinda funny to have my phone chirp in the middle of meeting, look down, and say "Oh, my hotdogs have been delivered"

That's weird.  When I get into the game, the first thing I see is my kingdom.  Maybe that's because I am playing on an iPad?
