Are there ads in this "game"? I'm trying to figure out why a company would give this away for free. Seeing that it trains people to do mindless tasks for little reward, my only guess is that it gives off some sort of subliminal signal. At the appropriate point in time, order 66 will be transmitted through your phones and you will go off to conquer the earth through farming.

There is an ad bar on the kingdom selection screen, and you can pay real cash monies to buy "mojo," which can be used to speed up your progress. They give you a bit of mojo free each time you level up to try and kindle an addiction.

Aside from that, this game is causing ngmoco's proprietary Plus+ friends network to grow exponentially, which alone is a huge plus (*rimshot*) from a business standpoint.  

- what does it mean when you have followers? Does that mean you appear on their maps? I only have one person on my map and can't figure out to get somebody else to fill the other available

Followers are people who've friended you but you have not friended back. Hit the Plus+ icon in the top right corner, hit the second tab at the bottom, select the followers button at the top, then finally touch someone's name and hit 'add friend.'

Just like all F2P games (free to play), they make money off of people who are impatient and want to pay to save some time.  In this case, it's about selling Mojo.  Most rational people can hold off and not pay real money for that, but not all people are rational.

Unfortunately, the thing takes so damn long to boot up and do whatever it does to connect that the small windows of time I had to play it were never enough to actually do anything.  I think I just got taught how to use mojo.  A quick one minute time killer this game isn't.

This happens to me a lot - the long initial connection.  Strangely, I've found if I go and load a web page in Safari, then try We Rule again, it connects much much faster.  I guess somehow We Rule is not good at the initial "hey what's up network?" or something like that.

It's borked. The bug is acknowledged but until the update actually comes 90% of my stores are just sitting idle.    Servers in general seem to be on the fritz today, too.

Just checked and still can't do anything in your town.  If gcarter is indeed Kathode, I just did something in his.

Me too.  There was a running joke for a while about how someone wanted to name a WoW character Jizz Lobber.  I modified it, and now have profiles at work named Jay Lobert, Jay Mopert, and Jay Cachert.  Classy!

Actually, the only way I would want to get this game is that if by neglecting your farm you could get blight and weevils and have it travel to neighboring farms. Does it do that?

I think it got pulled from the app store but there used to be this great free app called Free Memory which could free up memory with the push of a button.  This does not help you.

Without an app like that I guess you just have to occassionally reboot.

Connectivity permitting (I've had trouble all day today)  I'll grow rice on the side at work if I'm not swamped. At 15m growing time it's almost as profitable as 5m wheat.

Other than that I may just have a bigger friends list than you. I added a handful of Qt3 folks and a few from Penny Arcade. I also tend to skip shop building opportunities if I can instead save up and buy a newer shop right after it unlocks. And I just spent the 60 mojo I saved up over the past 10 levels and built 3 Griffin Roosts, which should bring some good revenue going forward. Assuming people are able to use my shops, that is. A bunch of orders came in this morning but my new witch hut is still unused so I think I still have the bug.

Kathode better get busy with those enchantments I ordered or he won't get no onions.
