You should take pictures of your teammates (or the other PCs in town), Lockdown. You'll see a DRASTIC quality difference. Yes, it's yet another issue with the game that really nags on me (when I could play).

I'm aware of the difference, and could see how it might bother people.  But I would file it under "niggle" - as it doesn't detract from the fun factor to me in the slightest.

But for those of you that aren't aware of what Destructor is talking about, here is an example.

So I went into the rift, couldn't kill the regenerating boss so just used the item and got out there.  Then, when I popped back out, these big demon things came to life.  Emperor something-or-another and some of his minions.  I CANNOT kill these guys.  I've tried maybe 30 times now.  I read that I need to concentrate on the main Emperor, but there seems to be two of them and when I do free rez and try to kill one, the others come and gangbang me to death in mere seconds.

Yeah, he's a pain in the ass.  The trick is, I think, not to run.  If you run...he summons more.  (Tried that without spoilerage )

Also keep in mind - regenerating monsters can be kept in check with Toxic damage (as Toxic stops regeneration). I had no issues at all fighting him with my Marksman, as my gun does both Electric and Toxic damage (both mods), in addition to its usual Physical.

I had a heck of a time with the Emporer on my engineer, the key is to not run, if you run and he follows he animates more of the statues.

Need a small bit of help.

I have created an account, got my user name and also my forum name, problem is i can't log into the forums or the support pages.

If i visit the website from my recieved email my user name and password work and i can adjust my account management but i can't access the forums or support it asks me to log in. If i use my bookmark to visit the website i can't even log in using any of my details even to do account management yet i can play online as my details work fine but no way of even visiting the forums to ask about my problems so anyone have any ideas?

alright, finally got some decent playtime in today and got my Summoner up to level 6.  I just finished clearing out the area before the first rift and I got smacked with the 'out of memory' error so I called it a day.  after spending some time with the chat window up I'm glad you can turn it off.

Played quite a bit more over the weekend.  This buggy, not ready for release, technically challenged game sure as hell is a lot of fun!

I can't remember the last time I so hoped a company would get their shit together and be successful.  C'mon Flagship, I believe in you!

I was going to try for the mask, but the one I saw looked pretty badly done (with everything maxed out graphicswise).  I was hioping for something that looked more like Ghost Rider with a white skull and flames, but this one was all one color.

I was wondering about that too.  I think Ron's busy studying for his CPR or CDL or CPA or something that starts with a C....

The big question would be is this:  is there enough interest in Guild Play to warrant the time and effort?  or we everyone be better off looking into an exisiting group like The Wanderers?

I've decided N. Va. Circuit Cities have basically given up on organizing their PC game shelves. I tried two stores today that were listed as having this available for in store pickup (which presumably means they have it in stock), but after combing their cramped shelves (basically, most CCs around here have literally 2, maybe 3 book shelves to cram PC titles on) that are arranged in no order, rhyme or reason whatsoever, I saw all of 3 Hellgate pre-order boxes and no sign of the game.

In fact, the only new PC game you could probably find without a headache is Half Life: The Orange Box because the garish color is so easy to spot even when the little PC games ghetto is a nightmare of spine-side, mostly black boxes.

What made this more amusing is the little Microsoft display cards nearby raving about what a "great platform for gaming" Windows Vista is, and the Games for Windows branding signs (remember all the ballyhoo when that was announced?) that point you to a shambling wreck of a PC games section where the new, old, pre-order, phased out, and "should be thrown in the dumpster" games are all bunched together like fruit at a produce stand.

Thus my long winded say of saying I couldn't find Hellgate to save my life (Best Buy didn't have it either), and given the bad early reviews I'm reading at news sites (some seem completely aghast that the game released in the state it did), I think I'll take a wait and see attitude. Which means I can't post here after this because I'm "not in" and I really wanted and intended to be. 

I had the same problem with Circuit City.  I couldn't find the game anywhere on their shelves despite the fact it was available for pickup.  This was on Friday (while it was still on sale).  I asked three different people and no one could help me.  I finally went to the service desk and asked them if they could look it up.  They had a stack of the games behind the counter and said "here ya go".  I told them they should put those out on the floor so people could actually find them.  They said they keep them at the service desk for pick up customers.  I asked them how many pick ups they have had.  Their answer "Zero".

So, the lesson is when you are looking for a new game release from CC, just head to the service desk first and save yourself the concussion from banging your head against the wall...

So, my woes that make NO sense at all continue:

I got the latest patch, and for once I could actually play the DX9 mode again in multiplayer! I was happy.

And then I found out that once I quit, I couldn't play DX9 mode anymore, as once again it crashed 1 second after loading in.

WTF?

Been there, done that    On a serious note though, everything runs smoothly with no crashes from me.  The last network crash happened because the net went out in the neighborhood.

That's just a dramatization, but I feared having that experience, so I never asked. 

I went ahead and got it for $46.99 at Target today, but I will keep the Service Desk idea in mind next time I dare to look for a new PC game at Circuit City. I have seriously toyed with just reorganizing my local stores' PC game shelves on my own. Clearly they don't care, so I don't think they would bat an eye that some stranger was rearranging everything by genre, alphabetical and/or date of release. I mean, maybe nobody but me in N.Va. buys PC games anymore, but then again maybe people just look at their nightmare shelves, shrug and give up. They're looking for me to save them.  Heck, maybe CC'll hire me as holiday help. "Yeah, if that nutjob wants to rearrange our PC shelves couple times a week, we might as well pay him."

The guys at gamestop didn't give me the preorder box and when I called, they said they had none.  Luckily when I went in to work, one of my friends dug out a preorder box for me.  Man, never again am I preordering through gamestop.  That crap pisses me off to no extend.

I nocticed the same thing.  Have you tried to buy those items? the only one I saw was the guild charter, and I'm about 5 grand short of being able to buy it.
