Big fan of the new review format as well, Ron. (although the layout/formatting seems to be a bit borked with overlapping and such on my screen for some reason).
Great job!

It does mine as well except the platform, developer, etc overlaps my pro section making it hard to read. The actual article looks fine though

Browser?
Dollars to donuts (whatever the hell that means), it's IE6. When you guys changed over to the new format I was using IE6 and saw similar junk, yesterday work upgraded my laptop to IE8 and it's all better now.

I have plans on at least fixing some of the glaring issues that prevent the access to content for IE6, but it's lower on my list right now.

Make sure compatability mode is off in IE8 (click on the picture of the broken page beside the refresh button) and everything should show correctly. If it's on, it will be borked like in IE6. Or just switch to Firefox.

Works great in Firefox. I'll also chime in on the massive wall of text. Even an extra line between each paragraph would help a lot at my resolution (1920x1200).

The beginning of the game gives a brief taste of all the powers that Alex will eventually gain through the course of the storyline, but it isn’t long before they are all taken from you. Ugh. I hate when games do that to you.

I hate when games do that to you. I normally do too, but it's a brief section and you don't feel 'gutted' in the process.

One part still looks a little off in Firefox 3.0.10 (the score numbers) And though there's no overlapping text in the review for me, there is some overlapping text on the front page:

It varies greatly. I can tell you that I've completed the game and it took me several days of serious play to do so. Didn't run a watch on it though. More than 25 hours by estimation.

Apparently my post was eaten... The developer is Radical Entertainment, not Activision Blizzard.
I understand you guys went with a more free form writing style instead of the distinct categories, but I think having subject headings helps to break up the page a bit. Otherwise it just ends up to be one big long block of writing, not to mention it is harder to find specific comments on, say controls or graphics or something.
Great review, though! I can't wait to get my copy and play through it!

Now that I know that the 'stealth/absorbing people' gameplay is a larger part of the game than I suspected, you've just flipped me to a buy on this one. Thank you Ron for the written review. I can only hope to write one that well someday.

I, for one, don't care for the headings. I don't think every review needs to hit every subject if it isn't relevant.

The headers don't really need to be there to separate categories. They need to be there to break up the text. The review is nice, but it could really use some space, such as headers that tease some of the content coming in the following paragraphs.
Anyway, Prototype is now preordered. A major Norwegian gaming site has also given the game 9 out of 10, and GamePro did too. Looking forward to playing it.

Yea, we are going to see about breaking it up some, although I suspect you won't have that problem with any reviews but mine. I tend to hit the 6-7 page mark in word before I'm done....
