That looks interesting.  I suspect the voice is only for cutscenes, I don't think those DS cartridges can hold that much voice info, but who knows, maybe they're using one of the gigbyte cards.  Anyway, I'm interested in an good co-op RPG.  The original crystal chonicles on the GC I passed over due to the need for both a GC and gameboy.  If they've skipped the GC requirement alltogether, well then I'll already have a DS.

Hopefully it'll have online co-op.  Purdy please.

Already stated to not have online multiplay because Square Enix feels the game needs to be played with others in a close vicinity or some crap, but will have some kind of online features. Will have local wifi play. The online multiplay game is going to be Dragon Quest IX.

One would think that this title screams online, but I guess a developer's dream takes precedent over market demands.

The game looks good. Just to correct something in your post, the new DS cartridges are Gigabit cartridges, not gigabyte catridges. 1 Gigabit = 128 Megabytes.

Why game developers are skipping online play with the DS is really puzzling, especially since it seems so easy to do: if you can do local multiplayer, there shouldn't really be much difference doing it over the internet.

The DS seems to promise truly untethered gameplay... but in reality they are choosing to use proximity as a tether.

Heaven knows what types of unsavory characters those kiddies will meet playing on the intermet.  icon_wink

They're skipping it because of the friend code system.
