My copy is sitting in my car and has been taunting me since lunch. Anyone else pick this up yet and have any thoughts to share about it before I can tear into it?

I don't have it, but I played a demo of this at Best Buy a week ago. I thought it was a cute game of pinball and enjoyed following the action from top to bottom screen. And, they definitely plugged in a lot of wacky Metroid stuff, but ultimately, I just don't see myself wanting to play pinball on my DS that much. Maybe when it hits the bargain bins.

Very nice pinball indeed. I like the tables, the feel of the gameplay, the rumble is nicely implemented (and fairly subtle). Looks decently hard too, which I like!
My wife stole it last night and played for like 3 hours, so I think there's a pretty broad appeal.

Cleric7... did you just call your wife a broad? (my apolgies... I am weak)
I only got about 30 minutes in last night before my daughter decided to wake up and stay up, but I really like what I've seen. The two boards I played have a solid look, feel, and design and I'm loving the way they incorporated the Metroid theme into pinball (sound effects, power ups, creatures, missions, etc). The physics seem great so far and the split screen is fantastic. Can't wait to get home and spend more time on this one.

I went to the store looking for Castlevania for the DS and they were out. I saw Metroid Pinball and seriously considered buying it but went with FEAR instead.
I'm anxious to hear more impressions.

You know it is fun pinball when you immediately go plunk in another quarter after your last ball (or in this case hit start). Non-pinball fans need not apply, but I think if you enjoy pinball, this is definitely a fun pinball game. I have played both of the starting boards and I got to one of the boss boards (which I did not beat, but was lots of fun). I like all the little mini-games on the boards, though I need to figure out what the point of the wall jump board is (I need to read the manual).
The rumble pack noise doesn't bother me at all and I like the feel of the rumble, since it varies in intensity depending on how hard to hit the things that trigger it. So far, I am loving it as much as I loved Pokemon Pinball, though that game had the appeal of trying to 100% your Pokemon collection, which this one will of course not have. Still, I can definitely see me picking up this game even after I have mastered to boards for some quick pinball action.

I really like this game, I have spent more time on this one than any other DS Game. The music and graphics are great, the rumble is okay.
I hooked up with a friend and played multiplayer and had a blast. The only thing is in multiplayer you only get to play one board which kind of sucks.
If I had 6 friends with DS that would be awesome.

From this point on, TML, the Cheerleaders will always be mentioned when I jump into a DS thread!
Kinda like being reminded that Nintendo is making money!
MP is fun too!
