Is this only the third content patch they've put in since release?

There have been many minor updates, but their primary method has been to group large amounts of new content into "Issues" (note the comic theme). They have added vast quantities of new content (new zones, raised the level cap, new character types, new powers, etc.) as well as freshened up much of the original content (something they continue to do by revamping missions) for no additional cost via the three issues.

After much prodding from some old Asheron's Call buddies who are now playing CoH I bought the game on a whim as I was walking by EB yesterday.

After much getting used to the controls and the fact I actually have to press buttons to do even just a punch instead of auto-attacking I find the game enjoyable. Hell...I could just make characters for the next couple weeks and still have fun with the creation part.

With my new computer and the game options cranked up it sure looks pretty. Some of the building interiors remind me of Max Payne and are quite cool to run around in while killing (er...I mean arresting) bad guys.

Somehow I now have to find time to play CoH and EQ2 since I enjoy both smile

You can set 1 power to auto-activate as soon as it recharges by holding CTRL and clicking.  You'll get a green circle around the icon to remind you that its on.

Don, I was playing with a sidekicked Illusion/FF controller last night...made me a bit wistful.

Robbie, Don is correct. You can set one and only one power to autofire in the manner he indicated.

I'm going to be without internet access for about 2 months, so no coming back in the short term.  I still think CoH has done more things right than any other MMORPG I've played to date.
