An extremely generous online friend has offered to give me a copy of COD4. Apparently he simply couldn’t bear the thought of playing MP without me. After reading about my plans to return to graduate school full-time and learning that I will unfortunately not be able to pick up a copy of COD4 (and will miss playing MP with everyone) because of our current strict savings program so that we can save for my return to school when I will be cutting our household income in half, USMC Kato contacted me by PM and mentioned that he accidentally preordered two copies of COD4 (he had forgotten about his first preorder when he preordered it again), and both copies have already been paid in full. He didn’t cancel one of the orders because he planned to pass the game off to a friend, anyway. And amazingly he considers me a close enough friend to want to send me his extra copy. I explained that I am in no position to put any money toward yet another game, especially since we’ve cut out all gaming and movie expenses for the foreseeable future, limiting new games or DVDs to birthdays and Christmas (I’ve even been cut back to only one 12-pack of beer a week – that isn’t even enough for Friday night Halo), and that it would be some time before I could even think about repaying him for a brand new Xbox 360 game. Right now saving for graduate school (and a year of only one household salary) is our highest priority. And yet he continued to attempt to convince me to take an extra copy of the game off of his hands, almost as if it were a burden for him to have two and I would be doing him a favor by allowing him to pass it on to me. Kato and I have become good online friends, but I never expected this level of generosity, and it is still difficult for me to summarize my feelings of gratitude for such a selfless act. I still was apprehensive of accepting his offer as I already know that we will be in no position to repay his generosity anytime soon, and I am not the type of person to take advantage of another’s generosity. But, Kato is hard to resist, and before long I was forced to give in to his demands. Plus, having stolen my wife by becoming her online Halo 3 boyfriend, I think I’m at least entitled to something. And so Kato will be sending me his extra copy of COD4 so that I will not miss out on the upcoming MP hysteria and will be able to participate in all of the GT/OO MP goodness. I actually just received a message that he sent it out at noon today, so I should have it soon. I owe Kato a great deal of thanks, and once I finish my Master's degree I will certainly find some way to repay him. So you guys have Kato to thank for my ability to participate in the upcoming COD4 MP craze. Thanks Kato. You're a generous friend.

That's awesome! Wouldn't be the same without you man! Also, I may have to hold fire the next time I see Kato in my sights... for a second anyway.

Huzzah! This little story pushed me onwards to buying the 360 version of CoD 4 instead of the PC one. Cheers and let the MP roll on soon enough.

Hey man. You bring enough for you and your friend, you need to bring enough for the whole class.
PM me and the other 1939 GTers for our addresses.
Hope you have an extra $116,380.00 laying around, Kato cause that's the bill you're looking to fit (not including shipping)!

Kato? Kato? Are you still there? You okay? Kato? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. A case of beer will last me a year As long as you don't die of alcohol poisoning after the first bottle. Plus, it's like drinking urine, so no wonder it lasts so long. I'd only drink one bottle every two weeks, too, if that was all I had in the fridge.

You need to switch to cans, bottles break when you hit the ground ducking for cover That was very nice thing you did Kato. It reminds me of that commercial where there is a loop of people helping each other out. /sniffle
