Not a spectacular representation I would say since you can't see the 3D and there's lots of jaggies.

honestly, I never noticed the jaggies until you mentioned them (and even then they don't bother me as much as it would on a huge screen). It's probably because it's a handheld game that I just automatically accepted them. still, looking forward to some portable Zelda even if it's a remake. Link's Awakening has the honor of being the only Zelda game I've finished on my own (the first Zelda on the NES was a tag team effort), so i might as well make the second one to join the list a game on another one of their handhelds.

here's a preview from Joystiq. they're just slapping a new coat of paint on it instead of doing a thorough re-make. still, I haven't played Ocarina yet so I can live with that.

another reason to anticipate this game: according to a Nintendo financial report Skyward Sword isn't expected to be released until after Ocarina, so the quicker it gets here the quicker we'll see the next Wii game.

I'm working my way through the original Ocarina and I like it. I can definitely tell I would have enjoyed it more upon release but it holds up really well.

I'm cautiously hoping this will be good, though I disliked Twilight Princess the more I play it. I kept thinking "Goddamn you, game! Just decide already, are you an epic drama or a fucking comedy for kids?" or something along those lines.

Thank god! I thought I was alone in this. I love the basic concept of Zelda, but I can't stand the execution. Funny thing is, a few games that are always described as "Zelda clones" are among my favorites - namely Beyond Good & Evil and Okami. The actual characters, mythos, and world of Zelda just does absolutely nothing for me. I'm weird that way though...any game with Mario or Batman has the same effect.

new preview. Seeing it side-by-side with the GameCube port made some changes seem even more dramatic. The 3DS version of Hyrule looked more vibrant and alive, with more complex building models and livelier townsfolk giving the impression of an actual castle town, as opposed to the barren, lifeless square encountered before.

Dying to play this, I didn't get very far into it on the N64 back in the day but I plan to make it through this time around. I'm glad it isn't just a port and the actual environments are being given facelifts.

There's talk that Nintendo was freaked out by how many Spirit Tracks copies ended up in clearance bins (undeservedly, I might add), so they want to fix that for Ocarina.

Also, andriasang is focused on news from the Japanese market (where initial shipment numbers are even more important than North America) so it doesn't necessarily reflect anything about what we may see in the US regarding shipments.

New trailer. Kinda sad that an Ocarina of Time rehash is basically the only thing keeping anyone's attention on the 3DS. I really hope late 2011 turns things around.

Pre-order bonusesThose who pre-order The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time get special game packaging, featuring a gold sleeve and a double-sized A2 poster, Nintendo has announced.
The poster depicts Link in battle. On the reverse, he is "dashing" on his horse, Epona set against the Hyrule countryside.
But to get your gubbins you need to pre-order at Game or gamestation. Game and Gamestation are part of the same group as Gamestop,so i am sure they will have this...if you want it

Eurogamer's review seems pretty indicative of what to expect. I'm happy to say I'm one of those people who has never played OoT (well, I put 4-5 hours into it but I don't remember anything. i remember begging my dad to buy it for me on my birthday, that's how young i was), so this will me my first time experiencing it *cue that 80's song* I'm sooo exciiited, and I just cant hiiiide it.... Or was it from the 90's? I dunno, I just know it from the first Terminator.

Ridah, it is a very approachable game, even if you've never played any Zelda title before. Graphically, it is so far superior to the original version(s) that it is comical.
Also, the gameplay is superior to the original because the Circle Pad is so precise and how much easier it is to swap different items in and out.
It's a great game, and anyone who is remotely interested in it should get it.
