I only played the first ones demo. Never touched the 2nd at all so I can't say whether I would have really liked them or nit, but... These games sold enough to warrant ANOTHER game in the series?

You can find the second one pretty much anywhere for $20 or less new now.

I never played the first, but enjoyed the second because it was based on co-op gameplay. Your AI partners were pretty decent and in so many games where it's "you against the world" here's one where you get a team to help you out throughout the game.

Never tried the online multiplayer, but did play multiplayer with bots. AI also pretty decent there as well. Same game modes available online are available offline with bots. (Unreal Tournament style.)

IMO that's what makes a kick ass game - full singleplayer campaign, offline bot support, and full online multiplayer. The complete package!

I've tried to get into the 1st game many times, but the difficulty about the 3rd level in killed it each time. I thought it was just my ineptitude with action games, but my son who's damn good at any action or shooter game also found it extrememly challenging. I even had the Colonies edition with the improved OTS views, but it didn't seem to help. If they eased the difficulty in 3 a bit I'd be interested because the setting had a cool sort of anime-inspired vibe to it.
