i quite liked Deus Ex:Invisible War for the Xbox(although i can't remember anything),so i am quite looking forward to this and with these screens, its looking pretty fantastic as well developers are now classed as Eidos and Square Enix of course,Square are publishing i haven't played the first one,but it shouldn't be too bad,as this one is set 25 years before Deus Ex at the end of this week there is going to be a new trailer released here is a reminder of the teaser trailer that came out last November http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoteS17NnGEand here are some lovely screenies, which apparently is from the upcoming trailer http://www.nowgamer.com/news/3292/tasty-deus-ex-3-screens-emergehttp://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=248985

Unlike many people, I enjoyed both Deus Ex games. While the second game lacked the depth of the first, I still felt it did a great job capturing the most important aspects of the universe that was created in the first game.
I'm definitely looking forward to Human Revolution, although from what I have read it is even more streamlined that the other titles. It appears to border dangerously close now to a standard third person shooter. IN the latest PC Gamer the developer stated "We want to remove the RPG aspect of fighting and make it more straightforward, like you see in games like Rainbow Six." They've also added and enhanced a generic regenerating health system so make the game more accessible to fans of FPS games.

for the graphics engine. to the dumbing down. i want those rpg aspects. it's part of what made the first game so fun and not just another fps. if it hadn't done that, i really doubt it would be as revered as it is now. take out the non combat parts, the rpg parts, and the freedom of choice (who knew going in that you could save/kill certain people?) and it's just a damn shooter. hopeful, but i'm afraid we'll look at yet another sequel and reminisce about how good the last one was, despite how much we disliked the previous game in the series (splinter cell)

Unlike many people, I enjoyed both Deus Ex games. While the second game lacked the depth of the first, I still felt it did a great job capturing the most important aspects of the universe that was created in the first game. I'm with you on that one. IW may not have been as ambitious in many elements as DX1 but it was still doing a lot more than most. I think a lot of people were disappointed because there was a feeling that something that exceeded DX1 was inevitable anyway. But with a decade's worth of hindsight I would argue that while DX was very influential in a lot ways, most games aren't even coming within spitting distance of trying to do everything that DX1 did in terms of player choice, stat based RPG systems, huge open levels, etc. In that respect I think that IW did better than most. IN the latest PC Gamer the developer stated "We want to remove the RPG aspect of fighting and make it more straightforward, like you see in games like Rainbow Six." They've also added and enhanced a generic regenerating health system so make the game more accessible to fans of FPS games.
They may be referring to dice rolls contributing heavily to combat performance but given the mixed reactions that such systems had in Mass Effect 1 and especially Alpha Protocol, I think it's probably best that they avoid that. ME2's more action-centric approach is probably the way to go for this type of game.

those trailers on that site never work for me,they just sit there buffing for ages, and i am on 20meg now had to watch it on CVG,looks great, although yeah CG..hopefully that feel can still be there in game,it was weird seeing Square Enix's name on it though CVG also say the game is due early 2011 and that its a huge game http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=249622"Human Revolution is a huge game with a large cast of characters and locations rooted in a very strong conspiracy story," said Dugas.

he's more like the first gen augments, like anna and gunther. only set 27 years before DE1, so it's entirely possible that they will end up showing us the beginnings of the whold conspiracy and i hope they reference those two somehow.
a few things from the trailer. one, i liked it quite a bit. the details they showed of your mech enhancements and overall tech, the first scene imagery, the dystopian future and the clash between civilians and police. the music was damn nice and the trailer was very well done. his words about choice allude to them including some form of DE1's freedoms and could give us more than one ending. i certainly hope so. i also hope they give us at least the choice of upgrades. i saw several different paths they could take and it would be disappointing if they just made this a wider corridor shooter with doled up upgrades.
this makes me pretty happy that square is behind this now. they do know how to put out a trailer. consider my interest piqued and unless they completely botch the underlying game, i can live without the ideal sequel we all hope for.
of course, we all know that within 20 years, detroit will be nothing more than a ghost town anyways, so it's odd to see so much high tech there. of course, that means a omni-corp style takeover.

couldn't you just buy her a pink netbook and tell her to use it because you need your man time with the PC?

in the Eurogamer review it has this It also has a few terrible boss fights where you are forced to use direct confrontation, and (on console at least) the load times are horribly long. However,it doesn't say if PC version has the same load times, nor whether the game was installed when they reviewed it on console I am still in the middle of reading the other reviews so will let you know if it says anything else,i would like to know how it runs as well, the reviews i have read up to now haven't really commented on that

The first game had one boss fight that you couldn't talk your way out of but there were two others that you could be cut short if you had the proper info. I'm just hoping they don't have those blasted greasels in it.

Joystiq-4.5/5also mentions the long loading times In the category of amateurish blunders, however: mediocre, grenade-spamming boss fights that don't do much to reward ingenuity on your part, some sparse checkpointing (save often if you're playing stealthily!) and some serious loading times.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>><>< Edge-9There is also an inequality between platforms in the sorts of roles you might take. Combat feels a little more natural on 360, with a streamlined interface ensuring your kit is always at your fingertips. On PC, meanwhile, you occasionally end up squinting at the UI in the midst of battle, trying to remember where your healthkit was. And that’s the kicker: for a game that is so much about the delight of experimentation, with often fatal consequences, the loading times punish you. On our none-too-shabby PC, they clocked up 20 to 30 seconds; running off disc on 360, we sometimes sat there waiting for just under a minute. ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Gamespy -4/5When it comes to an in-your-face fire fight these guys are highly trained assassins, and it takes just one or two bullets to bring on the loading screen... which you'll stare at for about 40 seconds due to the long loading times.
Dan: Oh, you got that too? I thought it was just my PC showing its age.
Bennett: No, I've got a top of the line rig – running a RAID SSD setup that is basically the fastest drive on the market – so it's clearly an issue with the game itself, and hopefully one that will be rectified by a patch in the not-too-distant future.

(yes this is a post from someone who has to wait for the release on Friday) anyway Gamespot have finally put their review up-8.5 The Good
* Varied mechanics allow you to accomplish missions the way you want * Evocative futuristic atmosphere * Engrossing story with themes that resonate * A long adventure that invites replay.
The Bad
* Poor boss fights remove the element of choice * Long load times, dated facial animations, and other technical drawbacks * Weak AI detracts from both the shooting and the stealth.

Stick with it. When I started, I was doing horrible, horrible, horrible (constantly detected by enemies, etc.) but I found after playing a couple hours, I started to get into a groove and it got much easier.
