oh so NSFW trailer. it looks to be a slightly twisted take on Buffy, with zombies instead of vampires, a chainsaw instead of a stake and instead of Giles a.... perverted Mr. Miyagi?

This title needs mecha and awesome and then it will be complete.
So, the last under "dressed chick killing zombie" game explored it as the character needing to be covered in blood to increase her power. What explanation did they use here?

Ick. The graphics, not the premise, are kind of a turn-off.
It's like Bayonetta's annoying kid sister.

He's still on my XBL friends list and pops on from time to time. We say hi now and again.

I'm going to wait for reviews, but will probably end up grabbing it. Reminds me a lot of Bayonetta, which was an absolute blast.

Reviews are starting to trickle in to Metacritic. Tom Chick destroyed it (which probably means I'll love it), but seems to be the outlier.

I have a feeling this one is going to come down to your sense of humor. Tom Chick obviously doesn't get this type of humor, others will. The fact that he didn't find No More Heroes humorous tells me we don't have the same taste.

Put about two or three hours in so far. The gameplay is cinematic and fun, the art style is awesome and I've had a smile on my face the whole time. A lot of the jokes fall flat, but there are just so many of them that the humor still works for me. I'm a bit disappointed to hear I'm probably about half way through the game already, but I still don't regret buying it. I think I'll be revisiting Lollipop for a long time to come.

This game is so full of win. I wish even a tenth of the games put out there had as much creativity as has been put into this thing. I had to force myself to put it down last night because it makes you want to keep playing to see what kind of craziness they can come up with next.

Honestly, I don't understand the negative reviews, but I guess Suda51 is always polarizing.
This is typical of him. Just over the top insanity. And a ton of fun.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts. The combat system isn't as fluid as other brawlers, but it's still a truckload of fun and is (mostly) hilarious. It's not up to Bayonetta levels in terms of either gameplay or absurdness, but comes pretty darn close.

Finished up my first playthrough of the game tonight and I must say I really loved it. My only real issue with it was sometimes having to fight the camera, but when the game is as much fun to play as it was, you just don't care.
