I'm still enjoying the game, but some of the shine has worn off. A few glaring negatives:
-not enough storyline -bland quests, most of which are of the "fetch" or "kill 50 rats" variety -enemies respawn in the exact same places -not nearly enough armor and weapon variation. I've only upgraded my attire three times in 24 levels.
However, the positives still weigh in heavily:
+excellent sense of exploration, especially at nightime +pawn system +visceral edge to the combat

I notoriously don't like single player games, this is an odd season for me. Finished Max Payne 3, now on NG+ of Dragon's Dogma and it's looking like I might even play a NG++

This game would be crack if it had a Diablo type loot system.

I am having to force myself to shut my console down to get work done around my house. This game is addicting. It's got so many small technical flaws, but it is just so fun to play. Thanks to Kato for taking Jaydin out and getting her some experience and that crystal currency stuff. I especially like the way the pawns will shout out ways to deal with enemies if they have experience fighting them - That is a really cool part of this game.

Kato also took my pawn out and racked up apparently some top notch XP. And then, as a gift, he gave my pawn meat. At least he thinks my pawn is beautiful - 5 stars for appearance! As a side note, ogres are no joke. And beware of climbing on their back.

After maxing myself out as a Fighter and my pawn as a Strider, I decided to change my class to be a Warrior and her into a Ranger. Of course, right after doing so, after ~25 hours of being the good guy, I got thrown into jail. Three times! The first time was because I just had to try out my nifty new giant two-handed sword while I happened to be standing in the middle of the market square. It seems the guards don't take kindly to me accidentally smacking peasants with my sword. Oops, my bad. Then after getting out of jail I immediately took a quest to escort a little brat around town. She was walking really slowly and boring the crap out of me so I thought "hey, I wonder if I can pick her up and run her around town instead?" Nope. Back to the slammer, Mr Kidnapper. So I bribe my way out of the joint again and on my way back to the Inn I saw a poor man sitting on the ground with a sad story. I thought this would be a great chance to try out my charity bag of gold (or whatever it's called). The description says that it allows you to throw money, so I figure I'll throw some money for the poor guy to have. Except it throws 10,000 gold at him, and knocks him on his ass. And the guards cart me away again... are you from Florida by any chance

Is it true that you can hire your friends pawns for 0RC? Add me please Kitten0Death! (xbox live) I've been using The Grey (I think it's Kato's pawn, level 50) Ceekay's Pawn kept tying to get me alone, I dismissed her. Having some trouble with the final boss, but loving the game. Feel free to add me and use my pawn

For anyone who is about to go up against their first Drake, make sure you have the weapon(s) you really want equipped before he goes down, even if they're not enhanced yet. You'll thank me later.

Two questions for rogue-types:
1) Tumble? I have seen videos where people are doing it. Can anyone tumble around to avoid attacks, or is it a skill certain classes get? I'm guessing Strider and Assassin maybe?
2) Stealth: Is there a stealth mechanic in the game? If so, what classes are open to getting it? How does it basically work?
Thanks.
(Yeah... still LOVING this game.)

Is anybody using the team skills? I've noticed a couple for my Fighter/Warrior that allow me to toss/bounce teammates off my shield or longsword, but I haven't bothered to use them since I can't give direct orders to my pawns anyway. For anyone who is about to go up against their first Drake, make sure you have the weapon(s) you really want equipped before he goes down, even if they're not enhanced yet. You'll thank me later.

Well, if we're sharing screenshots, here's my main character and pawn (to the left. The one on the right is a random pawn I picked up). Rufus is his name, and I've spent quite a bit of time outfitting and training him, as well as making sure his priorities are correct. Initially I messed up and turned him into a Guardian/Medicant, which meant that he was mostly hiding behind my back. Now he's a Guardian/Scather, which means he charges into combat and takes on the most powerful enemies, but breaks off immediately if I am in danger and need help. He's getting good reviews and is at level 28 or 29 right now. If you've got the PS3 version, pick him up today!

I had something similar happen. I was in an underground catacomb, and a cyclops rushed me. I jumped out of the way and it plummeted to its death, over the side of the ledge. Awesome! The coolest thing that has happened to me so far is when a griffin landed in front of me, snapped me up in its beak, tossed me into the air, and then swooped up and killed me while I was airborne!

Had you said, the one of the right is some random pawn and the one on the left is my pawn, Rufus. It would have been so much more clear. However, since English probably isn't your first language, we can let it all slip.

However, since English probably isn't your first language, we can let it all slip. The parenthesis signifies that the information within isn't a part of the sentence. I would never follow up something inside parentheses with information on the outside that built directly upon the former. It makes sense if you imagine that anything within a parenthesis isn't there, or that it's more of a footnote. I use too many parentheses in my sentences, but that's a different matter altogether.

Ok. Which augments are shared even if I switch vocations? Is this listed anywhere? Also at Hark: How useful are the specialty arrows you can craft (sleep, poison, explosive, etc.)? Did you use them from time to time as enemies got tougher?

All augments, and no arrows. Pretty much everything dies faster if I just shoot it than if I use specialty arrows.

I've had some luck using sleeper arrows on ogres. Then again, I'm also using the Ranger's ten-shot skill so I'm hitting the ogre with 10 sleeper arrows at a time.

He keeps dying!
Which reminds me - Man you must have gotten a TON of crystals from me...
Edit: Harkonis was actually instrumental in me bringing down a Greater Hydra... Well, he kept getting eaten by it, but he distracted it quite nicely! Which was fine, since my two mages (Yes, The Grey is NOT one of them, since I needed a mage) for some reason really didnt want anything to do with the Hydra...

I shouldn't have used the expression, "like an entire DLC worth of post-game content." I don't have any of the DLC, didn't sound very good. I'm just talking about the content that everyone gets to play after the main story.
