been reading on 360a.org,complaints about the save function
Apparently the autosaves save over your manual saves,so say if you go through a door it autosaves and you lose that last save that YOU made
bit shitty if true, looks like i will have to be careful
The Witcher 2 and Skyrim did it great, all the manual saves you wanted(kind of)and three separate autosaves on top of that

360 means more pawns from friends I'm going to hire your pawns and throw them off a cliff for giggles I have no idea what this game is about but I want to hire pawns from both of you, name them "Hark" and "Kato" and make them have a hot romance.

That's such a cool idea how experienced pawns from other players can give advice on how to defeat encounters or bosses. Just picked up the PS3 version (only because I have a better couch/entertainment setup for the ps3...my 360 became the kinect box for my young kids). The downside to the ps3 version is that I'll miss out on employing pawns from Hark and Kato.

Wow, that looks really great! Thanks for the link! What sort of characters are people starting out with? I usually err towards melee classes, but I've gotta say those spell powers look irresistible. -Autistic Angel

Created Winter the mage for a pawn. having a lot of fun so far- best moment so far was picking up a goblin, throwing it and watching my companion shoot it with a fireball in mid flight, followed by climbing up on a cyclops and stabbing him in the crotch.

got my code for the weapons pack Amazon was offering with a pre-order. it gave me a staff, a long sword and a set of daggers, nothing OP but then again I had been playing for awhile so I'm not sure how they compare to the starting weapons.
I need to sit down and look at the manual- I didn't realize that in some occasions there seem to be two equipment slots where you can equip both clothing and a piece of armor to the same location (i.e. have a tunic under a chest piece).

Kotaku's Review"Should You Play This Game?-NO" EDIT:I have been reading that this weeks DLC that features 10 additional quests is the first of 10 weekly packs, adding up to the 100 additional quests that Germany got instead of the Resi Demo...i can't confirm that though, just what i have read inbetween the arguments on the gamefaqs forums

Yeah, this game seems particularly divisive. Most reviews are fairly warm, but Kotaku and Tom Chick really seem to hate it and the guy in the Game Informer "Test Chamber" seemed completely befuddled about where to go, what to do, or how to kill the NPC who started following him. Everything I've seen of the gameplay so far seems stupendous, though. I think my main guy will be USMC Harkatonis. Half arch-mage, half mage-archer, always to the point! YAAH!!-Autistic Angel

I've been having fun but yeah, there are flaws. I've had the enemy AI seemingly forget they're in combat and start walking away, and I'm not a big fan of the respawn time, which seems to be 'hit a loading screen and everything you've killed is now back'. at one point I got turned around and ended up having to backtrack after entering a leaving the wrong place, which meant I had to kill everything I killed over again just a few minutes later. granted you still get XP for it but it would make the player feel like they're having a bigger impact on an area if there could be some peace and quiet for a bit- heck, if they had tied respawns to resting it'd probably give a better illusion of that.

Aquisitioner is a the stat you need to lower. It's well worth it to buy the pots to push the stats you want up above the stats you prefer to not be as strong. Keep in mind that just because you raise another stat to primary, it doesn't mean you pawn won't do any of the lower priority stuff, just that it won't do it in lieu of the other stuff. For example if you push medicant (healing) and utilitarian (support and buff) as the primary aspects, your dude will still attack the enemy when not doing those things. You can even still have them prioritize the order of engagement through the juggling of stats. There was talk about the pawns learning from what you're doing but that doesn't seem to happen in my experience. It also wouldn't make much sense imo. That would be really shitty design because naturally if I'm playing a mage that stands back, I want my fighter to run in, not learn to stand back like I am. I'm doing more research on it now, but I definitely have my pawn in a good place and he feels balanced with regards to priorities. as an aside, Winter runs around grabbing loot while we get our ass kicked, and The Grey has decided his best course of action is to run up and point blank nuke the biggest, baddest guy on the battlefield. Both of those lead to rather funny and interesting situations, but hardly the most efficient Sun Tzu moments.

The manual is contradictory on this point: do support pawns keep the gear you give them when they leave or not? It switches it up three times in as many pages. Also, I resent you people for making this sound as fun as you have and will be taking it out in your pawns.

OK, so Winter should be less acquisitiony now and actually fight.
I just had a harrowing mission to The Shadow Fort. I got hired to escort a knight there, and being level 11 barely made it only to find out there was no place to spend the night and that I had somehow loaded up my group with mages (The Grey, Winter and Rook) so my strider was the only real melee in it. managed to just barely survive several night fights with goblins and then run from some lizard men back to the mine that I had to cut through to get back, and then dodge several giants inside it. by the time I limped back into the main city dawn was breaking and all my part was beat to shit. time to visit the pawn guild.

I wish they'd put in a save right after the intro/tutorial. I've created two characters who looked fine in the character creator, but when I got into the game, they both looked like they had horrible glandular disorders
