they didn't say the last part, that was my 'hopefully' since it seems to be taking forever to find out what exactly is going on (unless they revealed that in Revelations, which I haven't finished yet).  personally I'd think it'd be great for them to make this one epic, with maybe more than one setting in the past as Desmond finally puts all the pieces together in the modern setting.

I have been meaning to pick up 'Revelations',think i will hang on a little longer as Single Player DLC has just been announced for that game,so like AC2 and AC:B,there will probably be a complete version out soon


so,where do we want Assassins Creed III to be set?

There have been all kinds of rumours from Elizabethan England to Japan and even Civil War America,again i always thought the last episode(the treasure hunt)would be in America

This is the conclusion to the end of the world story arc. No word if subsequent games will revolve around Desmond or present day. The have stated that since the EOW happens in 2012, this game needs to be out this fall.

the "last" game will be in the future, when you realize desmond was being played in an animus just as you were led to believe it was desmond in an animus playing altier / ezio.  and in that future, des will be finding the piecies of eden HE learned about, that the future animus user now needs to stave off whatever calamity is besetting his / her society.  and that society will be much like the "founders" one alluded to in the previous games.

back to AC3,i found out that this game has been in development for 3 years,which means it was in development way back before Assassins Creed 2 was released

oh and i am gonna just say that i am betting this game will be delayed,only because every Assassins Creed game that has been released has been in November,this would be the first game outside of that month

If it's not ready by its launch date, it will get pushed out with whatever minor bugs it has. Look at the problem I had with AC:Rev for an example of Ubi's determination to meet deadlines.

Well, the definitely have to do something different anyway, Revelations pretty much has tapped out the gameplay.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to play up more of the crowds and city aspects to deal with being on the ground a bit more.

It's Gameloft, so of course it's a knockoff and nowhere near the quality of what it's imitating, but you can still see how AssCreed could work in that setting.  And for a Gameloft game, it's actually pretty good.

I am wondering if the Freerunning/jumping/parkour shit will be taking a back seat,were any buildings taller than two floors back then in the U.S?

I mentioned that above.  from the background in the cover artwork I'm guessing a lot of it may take place in heavily wooded and mountainous areas though, so there could still be room for climbing and jumping.

also, I noticed something seems weird with the American flag-  it almost looks like something is in the circle of stars, but then again it could just be a snowflake.

So now, instead of the outfit being made to basically blend in with the crowd, he's wearing something that actively makes him stand out in a crowd?

Actually, looking at those pictures, it's probably going to be set in the winter, white to blend in with the snow, and everything revolves around hiding in the woods.  Which is kind of too bad, one of the big draws of the stealthing/climbing from the earlier games was the architecture interaction and moving through crowds.  Of course, none of that's possible in the American Revolution setting, which begs the question, "Why would you put an Assassin's Creed game there?"  I'd have much preferred the feudal Asian setting that was being speculated before.

The map of the Frontier is 1.5 times bigger than the entire map of Brotherhood.

The entire world will change with seasons, so the cities and the wilderness will all exist in both Summer and Winter settings.

The game has fast travel because the game has more traveling.

The cities have a lot more subtle detail now in terms of ambient things that happen.

certainly liking this a lot more now than when i was first hearing about it
