damn.  I guess they changed the price.  odd as the price on Steam is 30% off until the end of the month.  The voucher is still showing on the main site and shows as valid through the 25th.

I see PSN listed in the subject, but is it actually available (or coming) for PSN?  GameRankings doesn't list it and I don't see it on the online PS store.

I'm watching some promo videos made by let's play people on youtube. Say what you will about those people making money off playing other people's hard work, they're great for spreading some early word of mouth via videos longer than the typical press video.

Anyway, it seems decent, but nothing new. It's more fast and shooty/combat focused instead of survival. But, I've only seen it played in a challenge mode.

played the campaign for a bit.  not bad, controls decently with the mouse and keyboard but you can tell they made the game with a gamepad in mind.  So far all the zombies are pretty easy to kill, one hit makes them vulnerable to an instant kill, and if you instant kill one with other zombies clustered around it you'll more than likely damage them as well.  made it through the first night; was kind of disappointed at the 'night creatures' that I ran into, it was a bit too easy to take them out.  The survival guide segments are humorous.

Thanks.  I thought it was odd that it wasn't showing up anywhere.

EDIT: Including PSN!  I just went there on the PS3 and couldn't find it anywhere.  Maybe it'll come next Tuesday.

Hoping it hits the Wii U eshop tomorrow too, I like the idea of something like this with offline co-op, and they have promised some WiiU specific tweaks

played about 3 hours yesterday on ironman mode.  managed to upgrade the bow to a compound with a stabilizer.  very helpful and it's faster and does more damage than the makeshift guns.  also rocking some basic body armor and spiked helmet.  too bad the boomerang isn't as useful though.

I don't have any major complaints, just minor annoyances.  for instance, as the item description isn't scrollable, you have no way to tell whether adding items to some food dishes does any good.  it actually appears that it's worse than not adding them as you don't see that the combined item is better than the sum of its parts.  the camera could benefit from being zoomable based on what type of weapon you have.  I can hit targets outside my visible range.  I really hope there's a better healing item to craft than the poultice as the healing plants are far too rare.  I've had to go back to the easier islands to farm them.  I'd love if they added a storage container to keep all the stuff you find rather than just littering the ground.

didn't get a chance to play much more last night, trying to finish off Dead Island first, but do the zombies respawn when you come back to an area?

oh yeah.  they'll even respawn within a short time after you leave the area, not just the island.  some might complain about the lack of realism in this, but otherwise, it would make the levels very dull and rigid.

the only one I haven't seen respawn is one of the boss zeds.

I've hit a bug thats kind of annoying.  I have a blueprint for a scope to add to the weapons and despite having both pieces, it isn't letting me combine the items.  the option isn't even listed.  otherwise, It's a fun game and getting the crossbow is overpowered, especially when it's the carbon fiber.
