The progression is almost identical to COD, not that I'm surprised smile

Good news is you'll have some time to try out that 'advanced' titan AI you get at 49  ninja

Titanfall Xbox One bundle on March 11: $500

Oddly doesn't come with the Titanfall branded controller; it's just the same Xbox package with extra code cards thrown in for a Titanfall download and a month of Live.

Might be time to join the next generation finally!

21GB download, 48GB installed footprint.

Hope I get to play on launch day, the beta download took ages for me.

the campaign is multiplayer

I know, but I want to finish the campaign as soon as possible

I hadn't really thought about it before, but the campaign can probably be played co-op, right?  I remember hearing someone say they joined the game on a friend and ended up playing together in the tutorial, so I bet we could do 6 player campaign mode.

I would guess the campaign is going to be more like Brink where it's just a 6v6 versus where the people playing for one campaign are on one side and the people for the other are on the other, but we'll see

Nope  I can't find it in the digital store

Talked to MS customer service and they aren't offering a pre-order deal for the digital version

At first I thought they were going the route of "forgot to set it on Defend", slightly disappointed it ended up as it did.

Yeah. I dunno.

BF4 just seems so robust and there's SO much going on. These scaled back shooters- regardless of how 'different' they are- seem somehow empty and devoid of action.

I mean, Titanfall certainly isn't going to be for everyone, and that's totally fine, but I'm having a hard time thinking how your beta gameplay could possibly have been empty and devoid of action.

Plus the two are totally different games.  BF4 is slower paced and more methodical.  TitanFall is COD on steroids with easy grunts to shoot at.

I just meant comparatively.  TF looks like a great game.

Didn't Respawn say there'd be no season pass?  Or was that just one of those vague "we have no plans to share at this time" things?

they always planned on DLC, and they planned on a season pass so it's cheaper.  They don't plan on any microtransations.  So no burn card purchases and (sadly for me) no skins.  We'll likely get maps though.

I think the confusion is that EA used to have that online pass where without it you couldn't play online at all.  Thankfully they phased that out.

Season Pass Info

Season pass is $25 for what would otherwise cost $30 and includes 3 map packs and "more" of some some yet to be determined nature.  If you're going the PC route you can preorder the new "Digital Deluxe" version being offered for $80 which includes the season pass.

I normally wouldn't touch season passes with a 10 foot pole, but $25 is a pretty easy pill to swallow given how likely it is I'll want all this stuff.

That's not what he meant. The games (or at least the first one presented on the site) are anything but 8-bit. Not even close. Those are stylized 32-bit graphics that don't even bear the most basic similarity to 8-bit graphics.

To be fair, I see this a lot these days. Almost every time someone claims to have made something that looks 8-bit, they've completely missed the mark and don't even realize why.

Other than the Titan and its weapons, what part of the game defies 8-bit capabilities?
