Finally a recent update for Culdcept Saga. This is a release day purchase for me. How many other GTers are planning on picking this up?

Sweet!  This should be awesome multiplayer, and the singleplayer will be even better if they cut down on the computer's blatant die roll cheating.

Yeah, everbody should be hesitant.  The release of this game in Japan was nothing sort of a catastrophe.  Hopefully they'll fix it with the add'l time before US release but I'd check reviews first.

Culdcept, along with Mass Effect, are the two games that are trying to convince me to buy a 360.

Are they going to take out the cheating AI this time around?  Other than that not-so-small issue, Culdcept was a great game!

Whoa, what?

I loved it on the PS2, which is why I'm stoked for the 360 release. Now I have to try to find out what you're referring to...

kevingrey is right, the jap version was buggy as all hell

no one should be buying this blindly on release date, wait for reviews and user comments about the final gold copy

Well darn. This is one of my most wanted titles this year. Sucks to hear they botched it in Japan and that it might have problems when released here. icon_cry

Alright, out of the release date crowd barring stellar reviews...

Well that is very disappointing. Thanks for the heads up though. Now I'll have to keep a really close eye for release details before deciding to purchase. crybaby

Yeah, my fear is that they won't do anything except a hasty language translation over here.  Seems to be a well-founded fear, too.

Extremely interested in this, but put off by the reports of bugginess.

Last I heard was March 2008.

I'm still betting that this game never makes it stateside. I hate to say it, but the niche is far too small among the Xbox crowd. It would probably sell very well on the Wii, however.
I'm becoming increasingly convinced that the days of JRPGs and niche titles like Culdcept and Katamari are coming to a close on the 360 platform.

I hope you're wrong, but unfortunately the general audience of the platform isn't interested in these.

Myself, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a Culdcept release on the 360. However, I'm glad I've hung onto it for the PS2 just in case.

And one day we might even play it again (which has been more my fault than yours).

Though in fairness, we both set it aside with our time limitations to focus on other titles, since it'd be better for us to wait and put time into a 360 release instead. If that doesn't happen, though, I'm breaking out the PS2 edition again. icon_wink

Agreed. Though I think you'll STILL be playing Puzzle Quest by then anyway so this might be a moot point  icon_biggrin

PQ has driven almost everything else off my gaming plate entirely! I haven't been this addicted to a puzzle game since Tetris Attack on the SNES.

I actually played this at PAX on the 360 and it was great.  Looked pretty finished to me, so not sure why the next year release date.
