Won't look at it. I'm still in blackout mode on this game.  No trailers. No demos no nothing.

November 2007. (to answer the original thread title).

I am almost going to count the days. This looks to be the next step in RPGs.

What was the doctor doing in that video when he was trying to shoot the bad guy who was in partial cover behind that wall?  That was hysterical.

Regarding the clown doing the interview...  I thought he was bad doing the APF 2k8 stuff - but he was just completely out of control in that ME piece.  How can you not laugh at him when you watch that?

I thought it was kind of cool the way the guy asked them if any of the playtesters have had a chance to go through the whole game and test everything out, and the Bioware guys kind of laughed.  That was great.

Extended version of the E3 trailer now available, courtesy of Gamespot

best footage yet in my opinion...slightly bigger hints of the plot, and a few peeks at the type of cutscenes we'll get to tell the story.  as am sure you'll all agree, Mass Effect just can't be released soon enough...

It's amazing that this thread has 10k views!  Upon checking it started in January- surely this is the highlight of Mallon's entire life, such a grand thread.

I just went back through the whole thing: there were laughs and tears and annoying CK and poignant ATB and Purge non-sequitors and Starshifter game fetishing and Andrew throughout teasing us all with teh deliciousness.

4 months to go.  4. long. months.

IGN has a demo walkthrough video here.  It covers the same ground as the E3 demo, but there are some new things mentioned, like the character development system.

Oh yeah.. we Canadians "retreat". Just ask the germans... Tongue

Quote
During the War of 1812 much of Washington was burned by British troops in retaliation for burning Upper Canada's Parliament Buildings in the Battle of York (present day Toronto) leaving the White House gutted. Only the exterior walls remained, and they had to be torn down and mostly reconstructed due to weakening from the fire and subsequent exposure to the elements, except for portions of the south wall.

I think you may be confusing French Canadian with French (as in France).

Interesting bit on how they did that. Director David Cronenberg was on the floor behind the dummy with a shotgun pointed at its head, then when the cameras rolled he pulled the trigger. Alright, maybe I'm the only one who finds it neat how they did that.

Could some mod spoiler tag that img please. I'm trying to eat tomato soup.

Yeah it's a bit... gross.

Interesting bit on how they did that. Director David Cronenberg was on the floor behind the dummy with a shotgun pointed at its head, then when the cameras rolled he pulled the trigger. Alright, maybe I'm the only one who finds it neat how they did that.

What movie is it and what's the scene about? Also, I heard it wasn't a dummy, but it was the actual actor.  It was the last scene they filmed.

If that WAS a real actor, I'd say it was probably his last scene EVER.

Well, maybe "headless zombie #4" in Dawn of the Dead.

Scanners.  I haven't seen it in about 15 years but IIRC, that scene is someone blowing up the other's head with his mind.
