Apparently the final PC version will be launching this week.

And I think the Breakdown is coming very soon as well.

EngineNo9, I know you've played this quite a bit, so I have to ask you. Do you think the game looks a bit grainy as well? Its very weird to me - I love the game, and played it a TON on the consoles, but for some reason I find it look a bit..ugly on the pc? My resolution is 1600x900 if that helps.

The controls are fine now, by the way ;-)

I'm currently waiting for the expansion myself, since I want to increase difficulty of the game :-)

Sorry, Raz, I meant to reply to this earlier.  I haven't played nearly as much of the PC version as I have of the 360 version, but I don't notice anything I would describe as grainy.  I tried changing my resolution down to 1440x900 and while it wasn't as crisp as 1900x1200 it still seemed pretty clear.

The main thing I notice is that the game could really use some anti-aliasing and blurring around shadows, since there is quite a bit of pixel shimmering.

I actually found it kind of difficult to play due to the graphics.  It's almost like the zombies blend into the textures of the environmental graphics.  I can't explain exactly but maybe grainy is the right word.  Sort of having the same issue with Grim Dawn, it's like too much detail was put into the environments so the characters/monsters are hard to see.  Kind of frustrating because both games seem really good in terms of gameplay.

Thats exactly what I'm talking about. Maybe its like E9 says, and its anti aliasing thats missing? I don't know, but I hope its something they'll do something about, because its quite distracting.

My biggest problem is that zombies seem to clip in and out of walls sometimes. Other than that, good game!

heh, judging by my friends activity list on Steam a lot of people were waiting for a sale.  Grabbed it, gonna wait on the Breakdown DLC until after I get through the game.

and there's more threads popping up.  Nice job Undead, make it so player cannot do anything but run around (as long as they don't have to open a door) for the few seconds they have before the game crashes thumbsup

That's a smart move from Microsoft.  The Undead Labs guys made an awesome game that delivered more than anybody expected.   thumbsup

Definitely a good move. The money will be useful for their next game, which will likely be even more complex than State of Decay, which is going to require significant cash.
