in May.   looks like they have decided to jump on the Kickstarter bandwagon to get another Tex Murphy game out to the masses.

this one should be interesting to watch; one has to wonder if the fan base is there for a successful fundraiser.

For me; absolutely! I'm ready to pledge even more than I gave to Double Fine Adventure and Wasteland 2. I played all the games in the series and especially Under a Killing Moon and The Pandora Directive were great.

Same, if they made a decent traditional Tex Murphy game I'd be in

I was actually thinking those guys had lost it, but that video is great!  Very self deprecating.  And bonus points for excellent use of P9FOS.

And they going to start it May 15. Same date as Diablo III is released. And Max Payne 3. And probably a lot more.

What's so special about May 15 that everybody wants to step on each others toes that day? Is it some fiscal thing?

It's during the E3 lull, where all studios get REALLY quiet in preparation for the biggest wank-fest of the year.

Christmas is the opposite. Commonly referred to as "rhymes with duster-duck".

I'm actually not surprised that they jumped onto the Kickstarter bandwagon as they'd been trying to get a Tex Murphy game off the ground for quite some time now.  I remember Project Fedora being spoken of as early as around when Access was bought up by Microsoft, so in retrospect this seems like a great fit for them.
