Interviews

We talk to Ubisoft Producer Kévin Racape about Transference

During our run up to gamescom, I got to sit down with Ubisoft Montréal’s Kévin Racape, Producer for the upcoming mind-bending game, Transference.  Playable in VR on PlayStation 4, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift, as well as on traditional flat screen-using consoles, the game explores the twisted world of a man has figured out how to transfer his consciousness to the digital world.  Unfortunately for his family, he has made this discovery through unethical experiments on his wife and child, as well as himself.  It’s a bit of a mind trip, but I’ll let Kévin tell you all about it.

At E3 two years ago, I played a demo called “The Walter Test Case” about post-traumatic stress disorder.  While this demo is not in the final game, it is now available (exclusively on the PlayStation 4 and PSVR) for you to experience yourself.  Here’s a quick trailer to whet your appetite:

Transference will be available in VR (PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive) and traditional platforms (PS4, Xbox One and PC) on September 18th.  Look for our full review of the game very soon.
