The huge open world of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is about to get even bigger with the release of its first piece of DLC. The DLC, titled The Legend of Dead Kel, features new characters, missions, enemies, and adventures. It also opens access to Gallows End, a huge new landmass with new estates and weapons for your character to claim. The Legend of Dead Kel is available for Xbox Live, PSN, Steam and Origin.

EA has updated their list of game servers to shut down in April and March. The first servers to go are on March 31st and include Battlefield 3: Aftershock for the IPhone and IPad and Fantasi Safari for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The next servers will be taken down on April 13th include at least 11 games, including Need for Speed Pro Street and The Godfather 2. According to their website, EA is simply trying to move its focus and IT support to newer games with high populations of people playing.

According to an update on Diablo 3, posted by Jay Wilson, there will be no PvP available at launch. While no release date is official set they axed the PvP portion to cut down on time to get the game out faster. PvP will be available later on down the road in a patch. Jay stated that the PvP is ultimately done but with everything they still want to add and balance it would set them back  out further than they already are.

Battlefield 3 has over 12 million players and is getting a whole new batch of DLC this year, three full fledged pieces to be exact. With it’s sandbox style of gameplay it was only a matter of time before new content was added to keep the game fresh and keep players coming back. They will include new game modes, brand new environments and brand new ways to release an all out attack on the battlefield. No price point has been set at this time but if it follows its first DLC, Back to Karkand, it will be priced around 14.99 or 1200 Microsoft Points. According to the press release the 3 new DLC’s are Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill, and Battlefield 3: End Game.Battlefield 3: Close Quarters – In Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, players are dropped into a frantic, infantry-only theatre of war. Frostbite 2 high definition destruction makes the environment come alive as everything from furniture to plaster gets shot to pieces. Players will feel the intensity of the world exploding around them as rubble and broken pieces pile up on the floor, while tight level design and vertical gameplay create a highly competitive environment. Battlefield 3:Close Quarters also introduces new weapons, assignments and unique dog tags to bring back to the base game.
