Report: Destiny 2 poster leaked — release date revealed

An image has leaked of a Destiny 2 poster, and according to the promo, the game will be arriving September 8 of this year.

The image — leaked by an Italian retailer — features three helmetless Guardians wielding shotguns, sidearms, and rifles. Along with the title — which, indeed, appears to be Destiny 2 — and a release date, the poster also makes mention of a beta and features a PlayStation overlay graphic, which suggests that, once again, PlayStation has gained marketing rights to Destiny.

Following the leak, Kotaku reported that their sources have confirmed the poster’s authenticity and that Bungie will be officially announcing the game soon.

A 2017 launch was all but officially confirmed earlier this year during Activision’s earnings call, during which Activision stated that the game would be a “[f]ull destiny sequel in 2017 to broaden the franchise’s global reach…”

Last year, reports suggested that Destiny would see a 2017 launch and that the game is being developed for PC as well as PS4 and Xbox One.
