Q Workshop and Chaosium Inc bringing Call of Cthulhu Metal Dice to Kickstarter

If you do any kind of tabletop gaming, then you know that many different dice exist.  From small to large dice, made from metal to something spongy, dice can be as unique as each individual.  If you like your dice with extra tentacles, then you might want to look at the upcoming Kickstarter for the Call of Cthulhu Metal Dice.

Q Workshop together with Chaosium Inc. are planning to make a very special, super tentacle-y and stunning metal dice set via Kickstarter!

An official accessory to the best-selling Call of Cthulhu RPG, the dice will be made of tin, with the most detailed design Q Workshop has produced so far.

“We’ve been working with Chaosium for quite some time now, making the official Call of Cthulhu RPG plastic dice sets. This metal set is a logical next step”, said Agnieszka Przychodniak, Kickstarter manager at Q Workshop. “We’re very excited about this project, and hope we will not lose too much sanity in the process!”

The Kickstarter – Q Workshop’s second – launches on March 16 at 1pm EST. The campaign will last 30 days, with an initial goal is USD$50,000. During the campaign, many add-ons and stretch goals are scheduled to appear.

At the moment a subscription page is up at ks.q-workshop.com, gathering e-mail addresses from potential backers so they can be advised when the Kickstarter goes live.

The picture of them looks great.  Be sure to sign up to be notified when the Kickstarter goes live.

While his love of video games started with the Telestar Alpha (a pong console with four different games), he trule started playing video games when he received the ill-fated TI-99/4A. While the Speech Synthesizer seemed to be the height of gaming, eventually a 286 AT computer running at 8/12 Hz and a CGA monitor would be his outlet for a while. Eventually he’d graduate to 386, 486, Pentium, and Athlon systems, building some of those systems while doing some hardware reviews and attending Comdex. With the release of the Dreamcast that started his conversion to the console world.
