Pokemon Go will allow mobile players to capture Pokemon in the real world

Nintendo has announced one of the games it will be releasing on mobile devices as part of its new mobile initiative, and it’s called Pokemon Go.

Developed by Niantic Labs, Pokemon Go will allow players to catch Pokemon in the real world. While there isn’t any footage of what the game will look like yet, Nintendo has released a conceptual video to give fans an idea of the social features and experience the team is trying to create:

Along with the game, Nintendo is releasing a watch-like peripheral for the game that will allow users to do basic tasks without using your phone or mobile device. During the press conference where Pokemon Go was announced, it was hinted that the game may be compatible with the mainline Pokemon games, with Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda saying that the studio is “thinking up ways that this project might connect with the next entry in the main series Pokémon games.”
