Borderlands has been added the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility list

While the original Borderlands wasn’t included in the Handsome Collection, fans will be able to play the game on their Xbox One through the system’s upcoming Xbox 360 emulation.

Microsoft’s Major Nelson confirmed this on his website, where he revealed that Borderlands and all of its add-on DLC will be playable on the Xbox 360 when it launches in November. The game is already compatible for those taking part in the Xbox One’s preview program, where games have been periodically added to the catalog of Xbox 360 games useable with the feature.

Borderlands is the latest game to be added to the Xbox One’s Xbox 360 emulated games, with over a hundred games expected to be playable by the time feature actually launches. In other Borderlands news, Lionsgate announced plans to release a Borderlands film last week, but there were little specifics about what the film would actually entail.
