Amiibo figures give you over 50 new playable characters in Super Mario Maker

While Super Mario Maker might have Mario’s name in the title, he’s not the only character that you can play as in the level maker.

Through use of almost any of the amiibo figures that are currently available, you can swap out Mario for multiple playable characters. Nintendo has released a new trailer for the game showing the off the concept that you can view below:

Super Mario Maker is coming exclusively to Wii U on September 11th. Look for Gaming Trend’s review as we get closer to launch.
