Oculus Rift is coming in the first quarter of 2016

Oculus has announced that consumers will be able to get their hands on the VR headset Oculus Rift in 2016.

A post on the company’s website confirms that the Oculus Rift will ship in the first quarter of next year. No price was given for the headset, but Oculus says that pre-orders for the hardware will begin later this year. The company also states that it plans to roll out new information about the product in the coming weeks, including “details around hardware, software, input, and many of our unannounced made-for-VR games and experiences coming to the Rift.” At the end of the blog post, Oculus hints that it will be showing off the Rift at this year’s E3.
