The Sims 4’s Success Determines Whether There Will Be a Sims 5

While The Sims 4 just came out, it looks like there’s already concrete requirements for there to be a fifth game in the series.

On the Sims forums, producer Grant Rodiek confirmed that while The Sims 5 isn’t anywhere near developer Maxis’ mind, if The Sims 4 isn’t successful, there won’t be another game in the series.

The likelihood that The Sims 4 will fail is pretty low, as the long-running series has always been successful in the past, especially on the heels of its many expansion packs.
