Metatheory Podcast debut episode – Gamescom rocks our world this week

Come one, come all, to the very first episode of the Metatheory Podcast hosted right here at Gaming Trend! We’re very proud to bring this show to you on a weekly basis. The goal is not to be yet another talking space for video games, but rather a broader look at the human experiences that inspire them in the first place. We hope this show proves to be not only entertaining, but educational and motivating as well.

As the show’s host, I’ll do my best to act as a conduit between creator and consumer, bringing fascinating and meaningful content to the forefront. If you have feedback, suggestions on topics to cover, or are interested in being a guest on the show, feel free to reach me via Twitter (@seanlama) or email ([email protected]).

Our first episode is a humble first step towards realizing the broader goals I mentioned above – simply put, we need to get into the groove of recording a podcast in the first place! Fellow Gaming Trend editors Spencer Campbell (@scambl) and Lucious Barnes (@lucious_grimm) join me as we react to the deluge of video game announcements and presentations to come out of Gamescom in Germany this week.

The music you hear in this episode is copyrighted by Chad Lama and is used with his permission.

Enjoy!

Sean started playing video games in infancy. He was not given a choice as much as a directive from his parents to be the best gamer on Earth. Sean was subjected to 10-12 hours of rigorous daily gaming throughout his youth, mastering the most complex video games and dominating online competitions. Sean's symbiotic relationship with video games led to writing about them for various gaming websites, and he is currently involved in sales strategy and analytics at one of the largest video game publishers in the world. Sean's mission is simple: Turn 100% of the human population into gamers, willingly or otherwise.
