Nordic Games picks up licenses for Darksiders, Red Faction, Titan Quest and more

Gamasutra is reporting that yet more THQ properties have been picked up by third parties. Nordic Games – the current publishers of the Painkiller, Spellforce, Gothic, and various other series – seem to have picked up the lion’s share of the remaining properties. Darksiders, Red Faction, MX vs ATV, Destroy All Humans!, Full Spectrum Warrior, and my personal favorite on the list, Titan’s Quest, have all been snapped up into Nordic’s mighty empire.

Some more details still need to be sussed out, and the report is that none of this will be finalized until May 13th. Still, for those of you wondering where some of those IPs would eventually end up, now you know. Here’s hoping Nordic Games will do something great with these titles. On the other hand, I’m still waiting for someone to come along again and do something great with Painkiller, so I’m going to register myself as cautiously pessimistic about this news.
