So many pre-order incentives, and so little money left after November. Visceral Games announced yesterday that fans who pre-order Dead Space 3 through GameStop will receive two exclusive weapons that will help players in their mission to stop the Necromorph infestation for good.
The two bonus weapons are the EG-900 SMG, a compact but deadly weapon built for urban warfare that sports an internal hyper-accelerator for maximum damage, and the Tesla Enervator, which delivers a precision blast that simultaneously electrocutes and destabilizes the molecules of the target.
Dead Space 3 won 15 critic awards at E3 2012 and has been recognized for its “incredible craftsmanship in horror, action, suspense and sound design.” The game takes place on the hostile new world of Tau Volantis, but luckily for players, they don’t have to take on the horrors alone this time. Dead Space 3 features a a fully integrated drop-in/drop-out co-op mode, letting a second player join the campaign and leave at will. As an incentive to play co-op, players will get to experience extra story details and gameplay mechanics by utilizing the second character.
Throughout Dead Space 3, unwilling heroes Isaac and Carver put their engineering and military skills to the test as they scavenge for parts and assemble their ultimate tools for survival. While exploring different locations, players can hunt for parts, break down tools, build devastating new weapons and share them with a friend to defeat whatever terrors stand in their way.
Dead Space 3 will be available on February 5, 2013 in North America and February 8, 2013 in Europe for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
