Sega announced that the next installment in the acclaimed Total War series is currently under development by The Creative Assembly for PC. The strategy game will have the player navigating the politics of the Roman Senate while leading Rome’s armies. The games creative director, Mike Simpson, said:
Our games have always encompassed a grand vision. But we’re now pushing that vision at both ends of the spectrum. From the immense reach of the sandbox campaign right down to the human-level drama of a single warrior on the battlefield, we’re aiming for an unprecedented level of detail and scale.
Not counting expansion packs, this will be the ninth installment in the Total War series, which has featured settings such as Medieval times, feudal Japan, and the 18th century.
