The support for Diablo 3 continues to roll out. Blizzard has gone ahead with a preview of some of the upcoming changes to everyone’s favorite dungeon crawler, and we’ve got the list. You can look forward to better loot opportunities at the Inferno level, some crafting cost adjustments, and more! C’mon in here for some more information.
Here’s a few important highlights: Inferno acts II, III, and IV is regarded as too difficult right now, and Blizzard intends to give these areas another pass to make the difficulty encountered more of a ramp rather than a wall. Gem combine costs in particular are being nerfed heavily to the stuff of utter cheapness (at least compared to where they are now) up to the level of flawless square. Attack speed is getting a slight nerf, but it’s also coming with a fix to some items not properly registering their attack speed, so that may cash out to a boon for some people overall. Monster damage bonus in co-op is being removed, since the ramp-up was so hard it was actively discouraging people from joining up with their friends – a Bad Thing. You know what? Just check out the rest straight from the horse’s mouth on this one. They also hint at their upcoming plans – class balances, of course, though that’s still a bit of a ways off. Nice to see these guys on the ball with keeping their game patched and worked on even post release. Of course, since Diablo 3 has that whole mandatory online thing going on, it’s not like these issues can be modded out by fans, Bethesda Game style. Either way, here’s hoping 1.0.3 goes live soon, because I am getting real tired of farming Act I Inferno.
