Nintendo Flexes Third-Party Muscle at 3DS Event

In addition to Castlevania, Nintendo showcased three other third party titles coming soon to the 3DS at their hour-long webcast today. First up was Scribblenauts Unlimited, which we already got a look at yesterday on the Wii U during the main Nintendo conference. After that, two titles with overlapping casts were shown: Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion is coming to the 3DS later this year, and features many nostalgic references to the two-decade-old Sega title Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse. Another game starring an array of Disney characters, Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance], was also shown. The trailers from the event for all three games can be found after the break.

Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion will be coming to stores on November 18th and Kingdom Hearts 3D is set for release on July 31st. Scribblenauts Unlimited doesn’t have an official release date yet.

Breanna has been gaming since infancy, if gnawing on an unattended controller counts as playing a game. One of the younger members of the Gaming Trend family, she dabbled in PC games as a kid but wasn't fully consumed by the hobby until the sixth generation of consoles. Now an avid PC and console gamer, she looks forward to the day when she can scape together enough cash to join the next gen club.

In the last week of middle school, a math teacher taught her how to program a calculator; she was pretty much hooked then and there. Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science and Applied Math, Breanna hope to someday make games instead of just writing about them. Other hobbies include playing guitar, binge-watching Netflix, and cooking delicious food.
