21-year-old Christopher Gilmore of Melbourne, Fla. has won the MLB 2K12 $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge. Using an algorithm to rank “perfect games” against each other, eight finalists went head to head in a single elimination tournament that will be broadcast on Spike TV on May 24 at 11:30 ET. Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports, said:
Winning this year’s Perfect Game Challenge is an amazing achievement that required great skill and composure in an intense tournament atmosphere. Chris is incredibly deserving of the $1 million prize; he certainly earned it by beating some really stiff competition.
The TV spot will be hosted by Geoff Keighley and feature appearances from Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton and MLB Network’s Harold Reynolds.
