Rockstar has announced its plans for downloadable content for the upcoming Max Payne 3, including new maps, game modes, “burst” abilities, playable characters and challenges. The first map pack, Local Justice, will come out in June and features three maps and other content such as avatar items and multiplayer challenges. Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar, said:
The story of Max Payne 3 begins in the single-player game and crosses over into the deepest multiplayer experience we’ve ever created. We intend to support the Max Payne community with new and innovative content well into the future.
The Max Payne 3 Rockstar DLC Pass can now be pre-ordered for 2400 Microsoft Points ($29.99), which grants the player access to all upcoming DLC for the game through the end of the year for less than they would pay if buying the packages individually. Max Payne 3 comes out May 15 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and May 29 for PC.
