EA and Adidas Originals Team Up on Need for Speed The Run

It’s not uncommon to see tshirts with Mario or Master Chief on them these days.    However, EA and Adidas have teamed up to create something totally unique and tie it in to a video game.  If you’re into Need for Speed the Run, then you’ll want to get the shoes.  These shoes will be very limited, so if you want to get your hands on them and your feet inside them, you better take a look at the events they have planned for promoting them.

Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) and adidas Originals today announced a one-of-a-kind lifestyle and gaming partnership for Need for Speed™ The Run. Combining the cultural expertise of both brands, consumers will not only see the iconic adidas Superstar shoes in Need for Speed The Run, but they’ll also be treated with exclusive and limited edition Need for Speed The Run adidas branded apparel which will be available at all adidas Originals stores across the United States. The Need for Speed The Run and adidas promotion will be celebrated at three of the country’s and game’s most iconic locations: Chicago, San Francisco and New York where consumers will get exclusive access to the limited edition Need for Speed The Run shoe and video game.

Check out the full press release for more information on the shoes and the special events that will be held.  Don’t walk…RUN!

While not working as a Database Administrator, Keith Schleicher has been associated with Gaming Trend since 2003. While his love of video games started with the Telestar Alpha (a pong console with four different games), he trule started playing video games when he received the ill-fated TI-99/4A. While the Speech Synthesizer seemed to be the height of gaming, eventually a 286 AT computer running at 8/12 Hz and a CGA monitor would be his outlet for a while. Eventually he’d graduate to 386, 486, Pentium, and Athlon systems, building some of those systems while doing some hardware reviews and attending Comdex. With the release of the Dreamcast that started his conversion to the console world. Since then he has acquired an NES, SNES, PS2, PS3, PSP, GBA-SP, DS, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One S, Gamecube, Wii, Switch, and Oculus Quest 2. While not playing video games he enjoys bowling, reading, playing board games, listening to music, and watching movies and TV. He originally hails from Wisconsin but is now living in Michigan with his wife and sons.
