The Definitive Version Of L.A. Noire Is Coming To PC In November

When L.A. Noire  originally released on consoles, I was in the midst of overseas travels and the most I could do was read about how amazing the game was. Actually, it was the eerily realistic facial animations that everyone seemed to be making a commotion over.

When I returned to the States, one of the first things I did was buy up the small backlog of games that had released while I was away, including L.A. Noire . The game arrived on my porch from Amazon a few days later, I peeled the shrink wrap off the body of the case and placed the disc (PS3 version) in the system and initiated the install process. As I commonly do during any install process, I hit the web to kill time while I waited for the process to complete.

That was the same morning the PC version of L.A. Noire  was announced, so I literally removed the disc from the system after the install process, put it back in its case, and listed it for sale as “used-like new” on Amazon.

All that being said, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition  for PC was announced this morning by Rockstar, and it better have been worth the agony or I’ll have a personal vendetta to see through. The Complete Edition will bundle together all of the previously released downloadable cases along with the main game. Additionally, the graphics will be enhanced with increased resolution and graphical detail, Nvidia 3D Vision support will be implemented, and the controls will include keyboard and gamepad functionality.

Here’s what you’ll need to play the game (the DVD drive requirement is if you still haven’t joined the 21st century and aren’t buying your PC games digitally yet):

– Operating System: Windows 7 / Windows Vista Service Pack 1 / Windows XP Service Pack 3 / OnLive for PC or Mac;

— Processor: Intel Dual Core 2.2GHz to Quad Core 3.2GHz / AMD Dual Core 2.4Ghz to Quad Core 3.2Ghz;

— RAM: 2GB to 8GB;

— Hard drive space: 16GB;

— Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512MB to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 1536MB / Radeon HD 3000 512MB to Radeon HD 6850 1024MB;

— Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9 Compatible;

— DVD Drive.

L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition  comes to PC on November 8, 2011.
