3DS owners will have to wait a little longer for their remastered Cave Story, as NIS America announces the game has been delayed from its original release date of “Summer” to November 8, 2011.
“We are currently undergoing improvements to enhance gameplay. Changes are in the small details, but in order to satisfy both the fans and the new players we need to make sure the game is done right. Please look forward to it this holiday season. Cave Story 3D will be a blast,” says Jack Niida, producer at NIS America, Inc.
Sounds good to me! Having played the DS version of Galactrix and the 3DS version of The Sims 3, I know the toll a shoddy, rushed port can take on an otherwise promising game. Here’s hoping Cave Story 3D does the franchise proud when it releases this fall.
